Although we are all practicing social distancing through the Corona virus crisis, it is important to get fresh air and exercise to keep our mental health well and our immune systems strong. Take your family, or meet your friends at a trailhead and get your 2 to 10 mile walk or 5 to 40 mile ride while keeping the safe 6 feet social distance.

Yes. The Flint Hills Trail is the only rails to trail in the state that allows horseback riding.

Q What services are available and where?

Osawatomie and Ottawa have service stations, restaurants, and retail stores.

Q Where can I camp?

The Mills House campground in Osawatomie and John Brown Park each have campground and water and electricity hook-ups.

Q When will the Osawatomie trailhead be complete?

The Osawatomie trailhead at Cole Sports Complex (12th and Walnut) will be completed Spring or early summer of 2020. It will have kiosk, information, and trailer parking.

Yes. Restrained on a leash when approaching others trail users.
