While we always use exemplary infection-control techniques, we have added extra precautions for your emergency visit. We may:
Use a questionnaire regarding recent travel to evaluate potential risk
Use an ear thermometer to take your temperature
Use 1% hydrogen peroxide oral rinse before your appointment to reduce microbial load
Request patients wait in their cars instead of in the waiting area to reduce potential transmission
Ask accompanying individuals to wait in their cars instead of in the waiting area to reduce potential transmission
We have removed all toys, magazines, etc. from patient areas to prevent contamination
All patients will be asked to wash or sanitize their hands upon entrance to the practice
Yes! We are here to answer your calls Monday - Thursday from 8am to 4pm, and can schedule emergency appointments on an as-necessary basis with you when you call. Our goals for seeing patients on an emergency-only basis are to 1) reduce the spread of COVID-19, 2) save personal protective equipment for hospitals, and 3) reduce the number of emergency room visits for dental related emergencies.
